Flanagan & Gerard was established by Pat Flanagan and Peter Gerard in 2002.

The company's core business activities are the development and investment in dominant regional shopping centres, and niche community centres that retain their dominance within their trade area. Since inception Flanagan & Gerard has developed Paarl Mall, Vaal Mall, Highveld Mall and Mall of the North.

In addition the company has also developed other retail facilities including New Redruth Village, Morningside Shopping Centre, Bedworth Centre and the Makro in Vanderbijl Park.

Flanagan & Gerard's current developments that are under construction include Middelburg Mall and Nicolway Bryanston.
